Residential Fire Alarm Activation Reported

Town of Clayton Fire was dispatched at 8:10 a.m. to 40496 Riverwood Estate Lane in Clayton for a residential fire alarm activation, according to dispatch radio traffic. The alarm panel was reported as indicating a downstairs smoke detector activation at the home near Heath Slip Lane.

Dispatch re-paged the call at 8:16 a.m. as a second activation, again sending Town of Clayton Fire to the same address with the same panel information. No upgrade to a confirmed fire and no additional agencies were reported over the monitored radio traffic.

The incident was cleared at 8:18 a.m. after responders reported that a contractor on scene had addressed the alarm issue by landline. Engine 14-1-2 then cleared the call, ending the response after about eight minutes.
