Car Strikes Deer on Interstate

Adams Center Fire was dispatched at 8:49 p.m. Monday to Interstate 81 northbound just south of the Michael Road overpass in the Adams Center area for a reported traffic accident involving a Honda Accord that had struck a deer and was leaking fluids, according to dispatch radio traffic.

Radio traffic indicated no additional hazards, injuries, entrapment, or other responding agencies at the time of dispatch. About three minutes later, dispatch advised Adams Center Fire to disregard the activation, and units were returned available at 8:53 p.m., according to responders’ radio updates. The incident was cleared without further radio traffic indicating an extended response.
