Emergency Response Dispatched to State Route 26

Emergency crews were dispatched to State Route 26 in the Carthage area on Sunday night, with Carthage Ambulance and Deferiet Fire sent to an emergency response at a residence near Maiden Lane and State Route 3. Dispatchers directed responders to use the back door to access the location. The exact nature of the incident was not publicly confirmed in dispatch traffic.

During the response, a paramedic intercept unit was assigned to assist the initial crews. About six minutes after the call was dispatched, one Carthage Ambulance unit reported it had cleared and returned to service after a refusal. Later radio traffic indicated a basic life support unit was also sent to Route 26 as the response continued.

Near the end of the incident, the responding ambulance advised dispatch that crews were still trying to locate the correct house number on State Route 26 and requested address confirmation. The incident was cleared at 8:24 p.m., about 12 minutes after the initial dispatch.
